Becoming a Member
Ostomates wishing to access appliances through the Stoma Appliance Scheme must be a financial member of one of the 22 National Associations located throughout Australia. It is entirely your choice as to where you wish to be a member.
If you are a new ostomate the hospital’s Stomal Therapy Nurse will consult with you about which association you wish to join. The nurse will organise the paperwork and liaise with your chosen association. The nurse will also organise for your first order of ostomy supplies to be delivered to your home address.
On joining the association you will be issued with a Stoma Appliance Scheme (SAS) Entitlement card as well as a card enabling ease of access to disabled toilets. You will also be issued with a Welcome Pack full of useful information to help you ease your way into becoming a ostomate. Remember, we are just a phone call away.

By becoming a member of Ileostomy Association (Vic) Inc. you agree to abide by the Association’s Rules.
